Bike 4 Sight is a fund raising event benefiting
the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, eastern Pennsylvanias
premier rehabilitation and training center for people with
vision loss.
Join us for CBVI’s 6 th Annual Bike Tour
The 2008 Bike 4 Sight event will be held on Sunday, June 1st.
All rides begin and end in the delightful town of Media in front of the Delaware County Courthouse.
Riders can choose from five different routes: the Metric Century Route (starting at 7:30am), the fifty mile Long Route (starting at 7:30am), the twenty-five mile Medium Route (starting at 8:30am), the thirteen mile Short Route (starting at 10:00am), or the two mile Family Route (starting at 11am). The four longest routes wind through the Delaware County, Chester County, and New Castle County, Delaware countryside, an area filled with historical significance and bursting with exquisite scenery. Metric Century and Long Routes enjoy a rest stop at the Winterthur Museum and Country Estate, a 60 acre naturalistic garden timed to be in full springtime splendor for touring enjoyment. The two mile Family Ride tours the charming town of Media.All rest stops along the routes are stocked with beverages, fruits and snacks provided by Trader Joe’s.
A WALK-A-LONG gives non-riders the opportunity to stroll the 2 mile Family Ride route and join in Bike 4 sight fun! The Walk-A-Long is readily accessible to blind and visually participants as well as sighted fund raisers.
Riders can begin the day with a complimentary continental breakfast.
All riders registered by May 15th will also receive a Bike 4 Sight t-shirt.
Bike 4 Sight offers great prizes as incentives to fundraising!
The after-ride expo features a free food court for riders and walkers, music by local classic rock group (The Fabulous 49ers), massages, an award ceremony, and more!
